I am in the process of installing my countertops in my new kitchen. I installed my bar top just like you installed yours but when I push down on the edge of the top the back doesn't seem to have adhered to the wall very well. What can I do to secure it better

I actually just did that last night to see if it would help. I guess ill see when it dries. Thank you for the advise. And by the way thank you for all your videos. I would have never felt comfortable doing my kitchen remodel before watching all of them. Best on YouTube

You could run a bead of latex caulking around the perimeter of the wall under the top to help adhere it better. The latex can then be painted to match the wall colour after it dries.

I absolutely love this video. Plain and simple, just how I like it. Are you saying to put the edges on first then the top? Can you purchase the narrow edges to match the top?

coming from a professional finish carpenter thats built miles of laminate counter tops, great video! another great spacer instead of the dowels is old steel blind slats! but shhh, trade secret ;) Great job again!

So where does one get laminate sheeting like that? Googling yields an overwhelming amount of laminate flooring results.

+ben_r_ Hi Ben, you can get sheets from a home improvement store, however, what they will have on hand (in stock) is limited. If you want anything other than very basic colors, you can have them order it for you (usually from the kitchen department). They will have swatches on hand to look at.
