I actually saw the 2007 version of the movie and, since then, I'm so afraid
of watching the 1997 one - it looks so much more horrifying and intense!
But it's one of the "1001 movies to watch before you die" so I'll try to
watch it on Halloween! Great review, by the way!
+Vena Retro It's because there was a point in having the film set in America to an English speaking language. The only reason the original couldn't be set in English was because of budgetary restraints
+Anarcisos The 2007 version is actually a shot for shot remake.I dont understand, maybe Haneke got his cables crossed or something to make a remake of his own movie.
Hello mister!
I don't comment a lot on youtube, but your movie review and book review
channels really need some praise and recognition. Thanks a lot for taking
your time to make these awesome, informative videos and giving us your
sincere opinion about all of these great works (many of which i wasn't
familiar with).
Great love and respect from Brazil. Keep up the amazing work. (Sorry about
the bad english)
+Luciano Durão Your written English is excellent. It's far superior to my Portuguese. As long as you keep watching them, I'll keep making them. Thanks!
There needs to be a third channel for music recommendations!! Seen
Einsturzende Neubauten play a few years ago, was certainly more tame
compared to earlier music but a great experience!
Hi! I absolutely love both of your channels. Thanks to you my Amazon wish
list is long and Kindle full of books I can't wait to read. Also as a
polish person I must say that your pronunciation od Danielewski's and
Żuławski’s surname is cute :)
As for the films have you seen "Chungking Express#? I'ts one of my absolute
favorites.
Just checked the trailer & holy shit it looks fucking insane. Just from its
visual aspect I got the feeling of it being like Jodorowsky meets Herman
Nitsch or something, which is luring enough! Really looking forward to the
other recommendations!
