Poor Sophia you can tell she doesn't feel good by the look of her eyes that there's nothing you can do just have to wait it out. I'm also allergic to nickel can't wear costume jewelery at all all my earrings especially have to be gold, silver or stainless steel or what they call allergy free who knows whats in that but I can wear it
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-U3RnBZhcuh4/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADM/wLRtTewla9Q/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Pam Carballoca Most stainless steel contains nickel. Look for the grade 18/0 (18% chromium and 0% nickel), most every day stainless steel items contain 8-10% nickel. Stainless steel jewellery is made from class 316 which is 10% but can often be plated in nickel too (to keep it shiny). Also be careful with an alloy known as  'German silver' it's 20% nickel. White gold typically contains 10% nickel.Allergy free jewellery is usually titanium, on the other hand normally the term 'hypo-allergenic' can be misunderstood. It has no definite world wide definition but is accepted to mean it causes lower than average allergic reactions. It can still contain allergens like nickel but shouldn't be plated in them.

ohhhhh I hate to see little ones sick :( Bless her heart :( She bounce back soon though - I had to laugh at her on the couch in yesterdays video - she did look a little loopy LOL so precious.... another thing - I LOVE that Liz does crafts with Sophia. And you can surely see that Sophia loves doing them. I used to love crafts when I was younger and now I scrapbook... Which - Liz....you have GOT to do scrapbooking! you can do it with Sophia - and there are so many techniques and great products to use...believe me...there are far too many lol - I do scrapbooking videos if you want to watch a few (this isn't a shameless plug, I promise) LOL But if you need any help getting started I'd be more than glad to help and answer any questions you would have. Would you believe I actually buy clothing for my son and grandson to match products I want to use on my scrapbook layouts? Yep - I'm guilty :) And what I was thinking - Sophia is always dressed sooooooooooooooooo cute...omg ... the layouts you could do! I was thinking how cute that red and white dress was for easter ...and the great paper and embellishments you could use (yep - I have a scrapbooking problem) Okay that's enough ramble ;) if you need any help just holler ... Feel better Dolphie! :) XOXO Vicki

+melovebono haha you're so awesome!. I think she'd like that, but time is an issue, but good idea incorporating Sophia into it.

I believe Jane Iredale claims their makeup is nickel free. I personally find the foundations too heavy/cakey. When I called them I could not get a straight answer, but the ingredient lists on various makeup items do not say nickel but some do say chromium or titanium. What brands do you know of that are labeled to be nickel free? I am looking for foundation, concealer, eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, and browliner. I prefer vegan and cruelty free products that are highly rated by Environmental Working Group (ie they do not have carcinogenic chemicals. MANY makeup items are highly loaded with toxins!) www.ewg.org has a great guide to cosmetics, sunscreens etc as far as toxins, but i don't think they have a nickel free section.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-1x8kkOW0_HU/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAACMY/KMcsBlJxTvY/photo.jpg?sz=64
+nicolaxoxo1 Sigh! Well that is annoying that they cannot test for nickel. I think you don't need to deal with that headache. Just deal with other areas of your life that you need to avoid.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Nickely ChallengedI had the city check my water and he said the samples from my apartment had a LOT of iron, which proves the pipes are old metal pipes. The samples in here were far higher than the levels out in the street. However the city would not do a check on nickel because they do a test at their level and it came out at zero.....however with my bad pipes, the level in here could be high. I don't want to pay for a nickel test on my water (unless it is a cheap test) because I a hoping!! to move soon.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-1x8kkOW0_HU/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAACMY/KMcsBlJxTvY/photo.jpg?sz=64
+nicolaxoxo1 you are right chlorine and other metals are not good for your skin. I think the filter will help you remove other toxins so your body doesn't have to deal with them. So it has more room to deal with your nickel allergy. So don't feel too bad about the filters there helping in an indirect way.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-1x8kkOW0_HU/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAACMY/KMcsBlJxTvY/photo.jpg?sz=64
+nicolaxoxo1 +nicolaxoxo1 I don't think there is any cheaper portable system that removes nickel.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Nickely Challengedthanks for all the info! I am VERY concerned about the water here....just another reason to move (I have been wanting to move for a long time). I have Aquasana filters on my kitchen sink and showerhead but when I called Aquasana, they said these types do not remove all nickel. The one you linked to is reverse osmosis and I am not sure if that is a permanent installation type....I am just a renter here, the kind I have are easily removed and taken with you, they are also relatively cheap (about $15 per month for both, they only get replaced every 6 months).Do you know of any brands that are portable and cheap but remove nickel? This building is really old and I know it's old metal pipes. The water comes out brown if the tap has not been recently used )the ones without the filter). I bet its full of lead and every other bad thing too. Even if you don't have a nickel allergy, public water has so much chlorine and chemicals it's not good for your hair and skin. I think I am allergic to chlorine as well. Here is the ingredient list for Cliradex: water, 4-Terpineol (this is the component of tea tree oil that kills mites) glycerin, polysorbate 20, polysorbate 80, carbomer, triethanolamineIt says on the box it is all natural, with no harmful chemicals or preservatives (those ingredients sound like chemicals, ?),I had a severe demodex mite problem (your eyelashes and eyebrows are the main place for mites, everyone has SOME, but unlucky folks have too many. Look up a photo of them (they are microscopic and live deep in hair follicles and in oil glands) gross creatures. In any case Cliradex has helped my eyes tremendously. Swelling, irritation, etc all reduced. Don't know if my eyelashes and brows will ever grow back (sadly, I lost about 65% and if follicles are severely damaged a hair will never regrow in that follicle).I really like the taste of Perrier. I can not force myself to drink flat water. I just wonder how much nickel is in it? If I buy something labeled "soda water" it could still have nickel, because the companies are using tap water and just adding carbonation. If not enamel, what option is there for pots and pans.? I have a few made of corningwear, but not sure if I can use it on the stovetop (this is the old fashioned electric stove (black coils)I don't cook a lot, mostly eat a raw diet so I am not one to spend a lot on cookware. Usually I am a thrift store shopper for that kind of stuff..I will have to get new utensils. Mine are all real silver or unlabeled so not sure if they are stainless or not.Are all brands of Micellar water nickel free? It seems like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and making a micellar water now. I think I will start using one so I don't have to get the tap water here on my face. For me, the rashes have been primarily on my face, ears and edges of hairline. This happens even when I use NO products on my face, which makes me suspect the water as a possible cause.....or my diet (sigh) or mold (I suspect a mold issue here, yet another health hazard).
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-1x8kkOW0_HU/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAACMY/KMcsBlJxTvY/photo.jpg?sz=64
+nicolaxoxo1 Yea eye care's products are all nickel free. Thanks for showing me where I can get it in the U.S.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-1x8kkOW0_HU/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAACMY/KMcsBlJxTvY/photo.jpg?sz=64
+nicolaxoxo1 Yes I avoid can products. Tell me how the Skintifique products work for you. Do you mean the cleansing Micellar water like this //www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod12041647 It since relatively low in nickel. I am not allergic to chromium only nickel. I don't think the make-up I use have chromium in it. So apparently Bionike became unavailable in the U. S on Amazon. They had low nickel sun screen. I will make a board in Pinterest as I am searching for some. I know when I wear foundation or eyeshadow that I am allergic to my eyes are red all day. and itchy and feel strained. I saw the Cliradex but they don't list their ingredients. It seems safe for us to use. I think essential oils are pretty safe for us to use jsut depending what family each essential oils are from. If they are in the family of foods we need to avoid then I would think it is high in nickel. But tea tree oil seems like it is beneficial. I use it on my eczema. Don't get your hopes up with companies some of them will not disclose ingredients or they have no idea. Yea supplements mostly have nickel for vitamins I use Four Pillars without nickel, copper and iron //www.amazon.com/Pharmax-Pillars-without-Copper-Nickel/dp/B0036CB39G/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1459182615&sr=8-1&keywords=four+pillars+without+nickel Yes I use plastic utensils, and wooden ones, and 18/0 stainless steel utensils. I know the only cookware the is metal that is nickel free is Silit Cookware and its beyond expensive //www.morethankitchen.com/silit I think the enamel coating is fine but it wears off. You should buy a nickel test kit to test all of your stuff. https://nonickel.com/collections/solutions-for-nickel-allergy/products/nickel-alert-nickel-test-kit-2-pk-refill Yea nickel is in water. Most filters or all filters really don't remove nickel. I know osmosis filters actually remove nickel they are also expensive. //www.aquapurefilters.com/contaminants/145/nickel.html Mer! Perrier is a mineral water, in the facebook group we decided purified water is better. I know I switched to purified water bottles and other things my lips haven't bee peeling that much. It is quite fine. I am happy to answer your questions because it is about your health. Hopefully you can cope with the changes if not venting is definitely accepted.

+Nickely Challenged this is their website in France. I wrote to them to see where to buy in the USA. They have a LOT of products and even the mascara brushes are nickel free (and the mascara too). Of course I don't know if the makeup is worth a darn but seems like this is the most eye friendly brand I found so far. It is also cruelty free and vegan I believe https://www.eyecare.fr/en/
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Nickely Challenged you might be able to use this mascara. It is from France, says no nickel, chromium//smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B004L9C9D2/ref=s9_hps_bw_g194_i1They also make eyeliner. Amazon doesn't carry much of their line, I will look elsewhere
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Nickely Challenged thanks, I do use Avene Cicalfate and sometimes I use their redness reducing cleanser. I also use their mineral water spray on my face, now wondering if that is OK since it is mineral water and also it is in a spray CAN. Do you generally have to avoid any canned products???I am just SHOCKED that with so many millions of people with nickel allergy that there are not a lot of companies jumping to make nickel free products. I will try the skinfitique products you mention here. They are sold on Amazon so easy to obtain. I wonder if all micellar waters are generally nickel free? Are you allergic to chromium as well as nickel? Because I do see a lot of makeup products that list chromium. I live in the US and I am naturally very pale. I live near Seattle, not much sun here and I avoid sun like the plague since it aggravates my skin and I have migraines. So I guess I also need to find nickel free sunblock. Is mineral sunblock generally containing nickel? Right now I don't have a brand I like, they all seem too heavy and aggravating to my skin. I think I mentioned i had a diagnosis of rosacea due to Demodex mites which aggravates eyes, can cause redness and facial lesions. Thankfully using Soolantra is helping! but my eyes are still sensitive and I can't be sure if it is a makeup product or the mites which are bothering them. I use a product called Cliradex on my eyes. It has tea tree oil (special extract so it is safe for eyes) I am wondering if essential oils are nickel free? I use a lot of various oils on my scalp and shampoos and conditioners with things like neem oil and tea tree oil. Since these oils come from plants, I wonder if they have nickel. I find emu oil very non irritating and they claim it is most like our own skin oils. I hate to use it because it is of course NOT vegan, but it is one of the few that I can use on my face with no problems and it really helps heal bad spots. Sigh, sent out lots of emails today trying to find cosmetics that are nickel free. I will let you know if I get any that say they are nickel free. Also I am calling supplement companies because really who knows???? This is just such an unexpected hassle. I take a lot of supplements. Do you have to use plastic eating utensils? What do you use to cook in, are there any metal pots that are safe? I hate to part with all my stuff. If a pot has an enamel coating is that safe?Sorry for all the questions, I am still in shock. I am really concerned about getting nickel in my water. I use special filters on sink and shower but when I called they said the filters do NOT remove nickel. Do you know of any brands which DO remove nickel. I live in an old building with very old metal pipes, who knows what leaches into the water. I read that heat and moisture make nickel allergies worse, so a hot shower with bad water might be very harmful. I also drink Perrier (I used it to get off sodas about 3 years ago. I hate to drink flat water) I wonder if Perrier is high nickel?
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-1x8kkOW0_HU/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAACMY/KMcsBlJxTvY/photo.jpg?sz=64
+nicolaxoxo1 I will check them out their ingredients have stuff that are high in nickel so I might have to email them again. Or buy it and see what my skin says. I swear it never lies. I know there are brands that are nickel tested. Which are as low as .00001% of nickel in their products. I don't think there any brands that are nickel free per say. BioNike //goo.gl/mB0UPB bionike and Santiveri //goo.gl/89wgRN are nickel tested to my knowledge. I only use Santiveri's toothpaste and I cannot buy it in the U.S. so idk if you are in the U.S. or not. I know avene //goo.gl/GG0Kd7 and La Roche-posay is a brand that are good for sensitive skin. I use their mascara that I really like I don't know if their eye shadow has been causing my eyes discomfort, I am looking into that. //goo.gl/9QU9l8 For foundation since the products above don't really have foundation or have my color. I use Epic mineral beauty's/ Omiana mineral powder's //goo.gl/mFuvBk Blush //goo.gl/sEDOQN, Bronzer //goo.gl/30ccuo //goo.gl/c1ou7l and if I didn't mention anything else that you might want to try I have a Pinterest full of products I vet through. Not full proof but yeah. https://www.pinterest.com/nichallenged. Thanks for the product name and the link to find products. Hope this helps you as well. Thanks for stopping by. I tried to give you products with a variety of shades because I don't know your complexion also epic mineral beauty is vegan.

You look like a doll especially with the inner tearducts glowing! When i saw the label said made in France I was like what I need to check the pharmacy. Your skin looks so flawless and dewy. Glad that you got some products that agree with your skin.

+Flairelle I don't thing these products are in the pharmacy but they can be shipped to the U.S. I am glad as well. Thanks Hun! Still playing around with make-up. Beauty knows beauty I see. :)
