I think it's important if you have an affiliate link to mention it in the video, don't just have it in your video description and have the affiliate link there for a reason.  That's the key thing.  For instance if I am doing a Let's Play XYZ Game video I would put a link in my video and talk about in the outro, a piece of hardware or software I use to either play the game or produce the video.  "I use Product X because it works well for me and here's why, if you are keen on getting one yourself don't forget to click the affiliate link in the video description so I can get a little kickback from Amazon so I can keep producing videos for your enjoyment."Not the exact script per se but yeah.  And as long as you are disclosing to youtube you're doing that, then what's the problem.  Oh right, they might pull my monitization, thing is, dollars to donuts it's not a lot of money from youtube in the first place.  So it's all about sponsorships, but if your viewership isn't strong enough to get sponsorships affiliate links can fill that gap. I do think once you get a sponsorship you really shouldn't also, at least not in the same video, promote an affiliate link, unless  of course it's directly to the sponsored item rather than just a general link. 

I have noticed that as well =) But honestly at the time i was just trying to get educated on that matter and it's not like i'm having paid anything happening on my channel anyway so i really don't have to worry about it. Ty for your comment =) Hugs

I guess, you have to make a cost/benefit analysis: is it better to earn money through ads, or is it better to earn it through affiliate links exclusively (in case youtube completely disables monetization on that video)?
