This is not working for me. Intermittently I am getting the "preparing desktop" when logging into my user profile. A restart will get be back to my normal desktop but then it will happen again. I tried to use this process to do the copy and restore, but the "configure advanced user" window only shows my profile, not the others, and never even has a grayed out "copy". Windows Enabler does not change this. Therefore this method is not working. Can you help?

+David Richter Richter Managed to copy problem profile into new file but did not solve my problem of intermittent "preparing your desktop".

+David Richter Got it to work. Seems one has to click on the copy to button and then in lights up. Lots of stuff in the profile so I guess it will take awhile.

+David Richter Was able to get to all user profiles in advanced settings under Computer properties. However even after Windows Enabler activated with system admin, the copy to remained greyed out.

+Shirty445 MTG That made no sense what so ever. I see you're new to PC's. So let me just share some knowledge with you, young grass hopper. The reason why Alien ware uses Windows is because they are owned by DELL, and Dell doesn't support any other OS than Windows.

+alexander van der burg after seen your comment i try with my chrome and it seems ok. i don't know what is wrong with your chrome, maybe you should use firefox. i just wana know if you ever use IDM ? i think IDM can solve your problem. (interner download manager)
