Hey I'm thinking of getting these for development. How much are you able to see when it is not switched on? would it be save to walk/ jog with them on? Also when it is on is it possible for apps to have a transparent background? you mentioned that you couldn't see the camera at one point.

+Jordan Keyes Aah, i see. Apart from the weight issue can you see enough to walk around just say with an app that would not intrude on your vision to much? I heard they use this for mechanics that work on F-35 fight jets. The app tells them how to fix parts to the plane. I'm just wondering how viable that is. If it would really work practically.

+Daniel Healy I wouldn't attempt to jog with it on. When you're using the clear lenses, you can see other things quite easily, but the tablet interface sits pretty much in front of your eyes. Biggest thing is, these are really heavy, and I wouldn't think they're water resistant in any way.

Is the cord that's connected to the glasses removable? If I'm not mistaken that is the cord that connects the glasses and touch pad but if you were to use the Myo gesture control armband, could you remove that cord and just use Myo?

+copperscommentary Nope. The connected handset is where everything lives. The battery, the main system board, etc. The glasses are really just a projector, and the cord is nonremovable from them (it plugs into the touchpad, not the other way around).Bit of a bummer, really.Hopefully their next version will be wifi/bluetooth of some sort.

That cotton is hardly wearable! It gives a lot of people rashes and forces them to buy anti allergy drugs! I'd be afraid of them fibers molesting my body and mixing with the GMO's I ate unknowingly here in America at Whole Foods! Who knows what kind of terror these organism are capable of?
