Totally agree. I would only ever need that kind of stuff after a high intensity cardiovascular exercise where you resume intensity by the next day (which I never get from lifting weights anyway). I think it's popularity derives from the insulin spike/protein synthesis take on post-nutrition that's been doing the rounds, which gives rise to the '1 or 1/2 hour window of opportunity' which I don't really subscribe to either. I'll be reading those articles too so cheers buddy.

Hey Sean, I simple love the way you explain all your videos. But I have a question that I hope you or anyone of your team could answer, I do abs between every exercise, no matter what i'm training that day. Is this completely wrong? I know this way maybe my body isn't resting 100% between each exercise, but I give a huge importance to the abdominal zone. Thank you very much, keep it up from Argentina

You keep talking about post workout, but what about pre-workout, I have a labourish job and sometimes feel at the gym during my workout I'm not reaching my full potential, which I suspect from my diet is not enough carb intake, If I take this before my workout would it not be beneficial to someone like me?

You'll get the exact same effect from a glass of juice.... or just from a couple meals containing regular solid carbohydrates for that matter.

Sean, I was wondering if you could give me your take on 'protein poisoning' (i.e the consumption of too much protein)? Thanks.

Strictly speaking there is no necessity for carbs immediately following training. No, your whey does not go to waste.

Excellent vid. What I would say: You never -really- need fast carbs, so you never really need waxy maize starch :)

Your core is working during every movement. Just focus on form and lift heavy. Your core will be fried

As long as you're not consuming ridiculous amounts and you're otherwise healthy it's not a concern.

Hey Mark! It seems like MHP really wanted to come out with something that can take care of every main aspect of recovery including the protein, creatine, glycogen replenishment, and amino acids. With that said, they only have 12 grams of protein per serving, so taking another 18 grams or so of lean protein after a workout may or may not be beneficial. It's completely up to you, but if I were to take dark matter I'd use it as an all in one recovery then fuel up with protein from whole food.

Is it just peas and bananas?! Is this one of those drunks that you have to drink immediately to get all the benefits or not?
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-k6TepKUVR-g/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAHA/M6e6kdFCYPw/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Peter Brown Just peas, bananas and water. You don't have to drink it all at once. : )
