Car manufacturers don't make some repairs easy. But that's because they have no interest at all in making them easy. The most popular malfunctions should be as cheap to repair as possible, to keep average car's operation cost low. Everything else is designed to be as expensive to repair as it can be, so they could gain more profit from authorized service stations. BTW - All dirt on cabin filter is in fact what you DO NOT breathe! That's why it's in there.

This video is completely misnamed and to tell the truth, I'm a little annoyed. I came here to find out which fasteners to remove and where they are located so that I can take off my Mazda's dash. The extremely annoying high speed video and nerve jangling raucous noise (AKA "music") that were the "removal" section teaches nothing to the viewer. Label this video "changing an air conditioning sensor" but, not "dash removal."

nice!!! Since you do this kind of a big jobs, do you think if I have a right hand side wheel mazda6, and a left hand side mazda6. Can I move the engine, dashboard, everything form the left handside to the right handside without any cutting around the firewall? So are the steering wheel column's holes and other things symetric?? I would hope that!

We post these videos so those who don't have knowledge of cars will understand the amount of work that goes into such repairs, and consequently, why automotive repairs cost as much as they do. well, I wanted to change the air filter myself but after seeing this video I think it's best I leave that to the professionals. also [insert comment about the attractiveness of the girl in the video] to the people hating on her, get a life. she's probably better with cars than you hope to be.

my mazda 3 ac's air flow is quite low especially in the right and the left vents. The central ac vents running at speed 4 appears to be throwing an air flow as if I have switched the ac into speed 1. Please let me know what possibly could be the diagnosis of such a problem?

Let's see, I've taken a few F-150 dashes out, an Edge dash out, many taurus'. Did have one customer come in to see how there car was coming. After they saw there front seats out and the dash laying on the floor they didn't question the bill. Wish they'd all be that way.

should be changed every 15000 miles and it's that difficult to remove !! i don't think that is a successful engineering, removing the whole dash board just to access filter and sensor, they could make it accessible from the glove compartment or somewhere else

true but once it gets that dirty, particles starting finding their way through the filter and into your car. same shit with filters in your house. most people have no idea they need to be cleaned or changed. i work in HVAC and know all about air quality

FYI the cabin air filter should not be that hard to change. I own a 2005 Mazda 6 hatchback. The cabin air filter's located directly behind the glove box on the passenger side. You just need to unscrew the box and remove it to change to filter.

how long does it take one person to do this job? mines stuffed as well, but mines RHD. Cant you just take the centre console out and just lift the bottom part of dash up and drop the bottom part of the AC case down to get to it??

My 06 Mazda 6 AC stopped working, it just don't blow cold air no more, the compressor still working and I refilled the gas one and it was cold just for a few minutes. Do you think this on this video will be the issue with it?

I needed to clean the ac drain because is clogged and i had to remove the dash this was a good help but if you could make a video explaining step by step will be very helpful thank you very much.......

I have removed a few dashboards. It is a tedious task. Lots of bolts and a lot of "easy breaks" if you aren't careful, but if I had an assistant like her it would make the job much more enjoyable!.

+Lilly Browne I have a feeling it no longer works as it used to. Dashboard was introduced some years ago but it looks like Apple my kill it in the near future. I've had issues with some widgets not working any more.
