How do I secure the pin that goes through the entire body when it's time to reassemble? I mean put it back to its original locking place so the remote won't fall apart

I have a Bentley Continental GT. One of my key fobs is the older version which looks and works the same (uses same Cr2032) as the VW. Thanks for the video.

Try a B5 Passat 4Motion sedan. The only access is through the opening in the middle for skis. It sucked.

Thomas: you actually fabricated something. The dealership would tell you that you have to replace the complete actuator, since the little nylon bushing and rod are not available separately.

Don't they have lockmiths in India?? If you know what you are doing (I'm a locksmith) and have the right tools, that door should be open inside 5 mins, with no damage... I love the way (15 seconds) the guy seems to think that hitting the window might cause the car to unlock!!

Retards. I bet it was a stolen car or something and they just named the video as keys left inside. Its near enough impossible to lock keys in a VW unless you lock the door using the spare key even which you can use to unlock the car again to retrieve the keys inside.

I've had VWs for years. It's actually difficult to lock your keys inside a VW. You either have to really WANT to lock the key inside, or maybe just be a bit on the "slow" side...

my keys were locked in my car (passat 6 TDI) i opened it using a big screwdrive and a 80 cm piece of metal and an extra hand ;) that's all it works
