@caramelqueen89 As 12 is the same as 3x4 you can do 684 divided by 3. The answer to this is 228. Then do this answer divided by 4 i.e. 228 divided by 4. This answer is 57 and that is also the answer to 684 divided by 12. In general, find a times table that gives you what you're dividing by and then divide by the first of these numbers and then divide that ANSWER by the second of the times table numbers. So to div 7832 by 132, as 132 = 11x12 do 7832 div by 11 (which = 712) then div 712 by 12

Hi maths520, i have challenges with long division of bigger numbers. I need your help. please show me how to divide this sum: 684/12 interestingly enough i can divide fairly well by 10s, 100s, and 1000s .example : 7832/100 I know that would be 78.32 etc but when the numbers are : 684/12 or 7832/132 i get confused. please help me to understand and them right WITHOUT using a calculator. Thanks much.
