yeah, fine, but could someone answer how to insert foot- or endnotes in word so they would work after converting to epub format? if you convert the doc-file to epub-format the navigation between word in body text and explanation will lost.

@Lissianna5395 A different footnote'll have a different number even if it is the same source. You could give a short form of the title after you have given the full details the 1st time or use Latin abbreviations if acceptable to your institution. footnoting a work by Smith for the second time and it was on page 43. Instead of giving the full details again you could put, Smith, op. cit., p43 (op. cit. is short for opus cited meaning the work already cited) or loc. cit. (if the same page as well

If you have to reference a website follow the same principles: identify the author and the source. If you are referencing a pdf or some other kind of online document with pages you can just treat it like a print document but in your bibliography you can identify that you accessed it online at the relevant website on a particular date. If it's a web page give author and the name of the webpage, the URL and when you accessed it.

@shadowcutter951 I'm not sure why you would wish to do this. The academic standard is at the bottom of the page or at the end of the work. These are the only alternatives Word offers.

@dare4distance69 What version of Word are you using? IN earlier versions of Word you would click on "Insert" and References was an option within that.

@JuniorRaver I think you will have to treat each chapter separately so that the end of the chapter becomes the end of the document.
