I'd get both books, although the College Board Official Study Guide is an
essential SAT material. The key is you want to get a lot of practice tests
under your belt, and the College Board Study Guide has the most realistic
practice tests. The Princeton Review has some harder caliber problems, but
overall their practice tests don't mirror 100% what you'll see on test day.
So go with the College Board book #1 and grab the Princeton Review for more
practice.

yet I am taking honors courses. I am not always the strongest in taking

to be penalized just opt it out.
I heard that the College Board might get rid of guessing penalty for AP
test, but haven't heard anything yet about eradicating the penalty on the
regular SAT.
