+harley hackney Garlic is NOT "very toxic" to dogs. It, like most things including chocolate, depends on the amount, type,, and size of dog. The garlic myth is from an old, now outdated Japanese study in which very small dogs were given over 18 full cloves of garlic. They did not do well. The garlic in this recipe is appropriate, helps with fleas and ticks, and is well diluted. Research fries, don't just repeat. Almost every pet food out there contains garlic, Read your ingredients. +Peter Konrad Konneker Companion dogs are cool. Swedish Valhund looks fun. It's like a wolf corgi. I also think the Papillon is cool. They are used a lot in circuses because they are so smart. And decorative, haha.I love that Doodle has a pug named Tank. That is amazing.

+Yeah Bee I say to get a rescue because most people who impulsively get a puppy will end up turning it into a pound anyways. So instead of creating a rescue dog, save one. No mal is easy puppy or rescue.

+Black and Tan no truer words have been spoken. I've got a mal myself and at any point when someone asks " is he a good pet?" The answer is a RESOUNDING "NO". But a better working dog can't be found.

+Black and Tan how can you warn people about the breed and at the same time say for them to get a rescue?if there is a most important time to get a puppy from a reputable breeder it is with the more demanding working type breeds.with a shelter dog you most often don't knwo their history and background

I am a hobbyist triathlete and he is a lot to handle.                                                                                                                             I guess what i am saying is the commitment to a mal is similar to that of a kid maybe more....seriously. Sure its the navy seal dog and i can see why it attracts people as i ended up with mine. They are incredibly impressive dogs, so much that they really can be a huge liability. There is reason why you dont see them often at dog parks, or unsupervised around kids. If anyone reading this does get a mal, i encourage a rescue dog, dont be the guy who buys the puppy and thinks it will be a calm cool family protector...cause the breed is wild and no matter how much training there is a good chance youll be dropping it off at the pound in a couple years. 

+Black and Tan I've since done research on Mal's and found they are far to active for most people, more so than Shepard's.....

+Sup3r6f0ur Mals are a pain in the butt. You have to be kinda nuerotic yourself to really appreciate them, they have a sense of self interest no matter how alpha you are. A shep is almost always a better choice, certainly for guys like nutn. And thats coming from a guy with his profile pic of his mal. I love my dog but my next dog will be a shep.
