I think that the issue could be that we have seen a lot of wheels flying off because of the fast stops. This could come to the fore at monaco. not sure what has happened to the wheel tethers. @TommiMakinnen

As far as I'm aware, the wheels are still tethered on, it's just that when a tyre rolls away the tyre hasn't been properly secured and simply rolls off.

+lys1395 This thing won't destroy the car. They didn't just take carbon fiber and put it on the car. DMC is one of the best tuners out there, and they make kits for the most extreme cars, so i think when they tune one it's to make people go faster, not just closer to death.The 675's wing is wider and adds downforce compared to the 650 which has more than the 12C

+Kaisuke971 675LT has a much different suspension set up than the 12C, and it doesn't have a much more extreme wing. it has different spring rates and different shock settings that are developed to handle the extra load at high speed. in theory, +99MChrisp99 is right. adding that much downforce could potentially damage the rear suspension if it wasn't set up for it. McLaren themselves added a sensor on the P1 to retract the rear spoiler above a certain speed because it would destroy the rear suspension if it stayed deployed.

Assuming they put a way more extreme wing on the 675LT, you're wrong.

A ricer is a modded car using aftermarket components that are either degrading to the mechanics of the vehicle or affects the physics of how performs negatively. Common cars that are modded correctly to serve it's purpose will not occur issues further down the line. This DMC McLaren, if ever in a race, will have so much down-force and drag it'll probably end-up somersaulting after running over a rock.
