Too bad they didn't have rim brushes.

+SpongeIMO AG they are virtually the same thing. I would never install any top brush that flips and gets the back they are way over designed.. There are wrap arounds for a reason. And that would be a little much to import a top brush...
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-2ISpfkyGnvk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAIU/4NjgyPKtXnc/photo.jpg?sz=64
+carwashnews Have you seen the Holz top brushes (even in videos) that actually follow the vehichle? Those I would certainly get if I owned a car wash (yes, I would have them imported) because of their increased contact time on the car. Maybe Econocraft ones are like lower-end Christ top brushes (both use the same basic design for the arms)
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-EBtDl2-vB1A/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAIA/r94IU0jC8Mc/photo.jpg?sz=64
+SpongeIMO AG  Well I think the concept for them is great but the only time I would ever install one is on a dual belt conveyor as there is too much mantinance that would needed to be done to that system.. There is an aditonal 4 places for a possible air leak and 2 aditional motors that I would need to maintain and adjust and if they are off then the whole idea of it is pointless. And not only that but if a car came in too far past the photo eye and sat on the floor treddle or tape swich (witch is needed to opperate a tire brush) It would come out too early and not even hit the tire. And same goes for the top brush. I love the concept of it but a top brush itsself is a ton of mantinance as alot of car washes opperaters will refuse to install normal ones (ex. Macneil or Sonnys). But with that top brush there needs to be a special hydrolic power pack (because the brushes rotation needs to swich directions on the top of the vehicle) and it can not use an electric motor as there is alot of momentum in the brush spinning it would put alot of torq on the motor and could cause damage to the motor. And there's an aditional 8 possible places for an air leak and each one of them have mac valves that would need to be adjusted.. I have not seen many owners keep there econocraft top brushes as they usally replace them with mitters..

+carwashnews Not necessarily... Econocraft sells them but they haven't really caught on. I have seen some videos with Econocraft top brush/rim cleaner combos before. I would not be surprised if AVW brought them over (in fact, I am trying to get them to do this) for use with belt conveyors.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-EBtDl2-vB1A/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAIA/r94IU0jC8Mc/photo.jpg?sz=64
+SpongeIMO AG Well first those are extremely un-common with tunnels and there very difficult to maintain and you can get just as good as a clean wheel with a tire brush and rocker combo...
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-2ISpfkyGnvk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAIU/4NjgyPKtXnc/photo.jpg?sz=64
+carwashnews I am referring to a disc-shape brush (usually with bristle) that extends to a car's wheel (specifically the hub cap region) to scrub it thoroughly. You can find them on IBAs (even on Ryko SoftGloss-type systems) for wheel cleaning. They are made by Econocraft, Christ, and WashTec for tunnels also.

What are you referring to as rim brushes? Rocker Brushes? Or a tire brush? Because this wash has a Raised Econocraft Tire Brush System with a Sonnys Bison Brush and they have a bottom motor rocker brush.
