Have you checked the Google Groups Android-Qt? Also, which OS are you running on? Are drivers installed properly? When you connect your device, run "adb devices" and see if your device is listed. If not, then try replugging it in and/or reinstalling the drivers. Sometimes QtCreator will crash if it tries to run your app in a VM but you cancel it. It crashes for me when I do that, at least.
Yup! I mean, you can run it in the AVD, but I haven't bothered with that as I get better performance on my Nexus 4. After you write your code, click on the run button (it builds the application and packages it as an *.apk) and it will install the app on your device and run it for you. You're welcome! Let me know if you have anything specific you want me to cover. I'm always glad to help!
Thanks! I don't have a SGS3, so I can't speak about that device explicitly, but if your drivers are all installed it should be as simple as plugging in your phone and then clicking "run" in Necessitas. Does that not work? For my A500, that's how I debug my apps (using Necessitas for both OSX and Windows 7 64bit).
My PC has W7 Home Premium and my Tablet is running on Android 4.0 - Ice Cream Sandwich. I ran the "devices.bat" and it didn't find any devices, I even replugged it serveral times, I think the missing drivers are the problem. Which drivers to I have to install?
Okay. Did you try restarting your computer? Go to device manager (under Computer) and look for your tablet in the list of devices. There should be an option in there for installing drivers for it. It sounds like you just need the drivers for your tablet.
Wait so if I want to run the program I must have my device plugged in to my computer? And if not please tell me how to compile it too one program and not allot of files. Thanks for your tutorials!! :D
Nope, sorry. "cout" outputs to stdout, which means that it wouldn't be visible in the Android UI. setText() is a method of QLabel, and it is (AFAIK) the only way to output text to a QLabel.
good tutorial i have only one question "how to debug on a connected device?" or better how to connect one plug and play doent work for me i have a Samsung galaxy s3 and windows 7
i did managed to work properly did need to install the ant in the directory of necessitas and modify some paths in the options
My QtCreator doesnt find my Neo X7 Odys Tablet. Can someone help me with this? The QtCreator always crashes when I run my App
Insted of writing settext can I write cout
