I think its a reference of British people who are known to eat a lot of cabbage.  So ironically when a British person walks in the room he's going to smell cabbage whereas Doctor Evil says, "I thought I smelled cabbage" in relation to actually smelling cabbage at some point.

In the first film, Austin mentions being afraid of carnies or circus folk, also saying they have small hands and smell of cabbage. Presumably the cabbage quote references that.

+Treblaine Ok, some valid points.  But most nations in the west are republics, no democracies.  The US is not an exception; it was from the beginning a republic.  And Western nations should very well have laws to limit the powers of capitalism, however I don't think this is necessarily the case in the US where corporations wield so much power, over the government and the economy, that a new brand of extreme-capitalism continues to plague the West.Life in the Soviet Union (in its later years) not vastly worse or different than life in the US.  Both countries were fed propaganda about the other and were convinced that the side they were on was righteous, I say "side", even though is was not a war.  The Soviet economy failed due to internal conflict; the US never "beat it" or brought it to its knees.  Both had its scintillating qualities and its atrocious failures, i.e. the US had terrible racial tensions in the 50's and 60's.  I'm not saying the USSR was better, but at least it promoted equality among its many ethnicities.  On a side note, racism is much worse in modern Russia for similar reasons it was/is bad in the US.

In its pure form, communism does not prohibit free speech.  And capitalism has nothing to do with protecting people's right to free speech; it's about making money.  If anything, "freer" speech would probably be damaging to capitalism, if people better understood the evils of the crap they consume.  In short, you're comment is erroneous and just plain ignorant.

Nice Loop o Plane u guys have! I like that Rock o Plane at the beginning as well. A Sky Diver would look good on your show too! Sadly, not many shows now move a Diver n e more due to how long it takes to set it up as well as tearing it down. I helped tear down J & J Amusements' Sky Diver in 2009. It wasn't that bad. lol But to set it up at every fair?, that might get exhausting a bit. Something u get used to though.
