Shreveport Police Cars running hot to a MVA with injuries. At the end a driver in front of one of the PD cars does not know what to do.

Get some videos of the police escorts that Mizzou football is getting right now. i am in the travel party and the S.P.D kick car doors if the cars dont move for our buses.

if you dont know the rules you shouldn t be on the road period! you dont know enough to pull to the right then you have a problem and shouldnt be on the road

@rancheres07 I just looked up Shreveport Police in Google images and found an Impala with a Code3 2100 series light bar. That's what those are.

SPD should have pulled the car over and cited the driver for failure to yeild an emergency services vehicle.

@zaffdoc Oh, and BTW, we have never had a firefighter injured from not wearing their bunker gear back to the station. In over 110 years as a professional fire department there have been only two firefighters that have lost their life while on duty. One was the tiller-man on a horse drawn hook and ladder that fell when the rig’s wheel got caught on a train track. The other, wearing full PPE and SCBA, when anhydrous ammonia exploded while he was attempting to stop the leak.

Not being an ass or anything, but, different departments have different guidlines, around here, they aren't required to wear PPE unless it's a structure fire and your going interior, or near flames, its just what the departments decide. So, let y'alls dept do as they do, and let Shreveport do as they do.

no but on a car fire its nice 2 see firefighters dressed properly and not like that that is what u call a backdraft bull haha and with all the firefighters dying everyday we dont need guys gettin killed over not havin proper ppe i think that makes sense

@Firenoid5 Apparently, you live where the weather is delightful all the time; because here when the temp is 95 and the humidity is 100 it is tough wearing your turnouts longer than you have to.

@zaffdoc here our firefighters dont remove bunker gear until they are backed into the station and the engine is placed in park....that way there is no problem if they getr a second response

THE CAR ON 22 WAS ON FIRE.. STEAL THE RIM LEAVE THE CAR.. LOL KIDDING but those rims are out of date. Every where on youtube you see people with the same type of RIMS.

Reminds me when my dads car caught on fire. He was always working then came to my first birthday when i was 12 and 1 hour later his car caught on fire.

@zaffdoc Yes as a matter of fact we do not remove PPE until we are back at the station. Safe firefighter is the only way to go.

we remove are ppe when we get in the engine and are on the way back to the station other then that we have to wear are's

Quality until the early 2000's and since then Ferrara's. Engine 11 is 1998 Quality Gladiator on a Spartan chassis.

Someone probably did put fuses in the electrical system for aftermarket amps. Probably the cause.

This wouldn't make the car run hot, it would just mess with the valvetrain. It turns out that my DexCool had oxygenated and gunked up the impeller vanes on my water pump. I took the pump off, cleaned it out, flushed the whole system and now it's all good. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
