+Warda Shoaib you should write on the canvas after you've finished the ombre painting and it is fully dry.

What if you already painted a canvas in a lighter color? Can u still do the ombre?

+Ann Higdon You cannot turn the lighter color into the ombre design- all the paint must be wet so you can blend it. However you can paint over the lighter color to start again, as long as you used acrylic paint.
