Can someone help me? I'm just starting to use KB + M and I'm struggling since moving from controller. Having to put one hand on WASD and one hand on numbers in stupid hard because of the lack of room. Can somebody tell me where I should position my hands or tell me what I'm doing wrong

+Daniel Ahmed Left hand on WASD, right on mouse. Then either click the icons with right hand, or move your left hand up to press buttons. Clicking might be considered nooby, but in a game where moving half a second too late can mean your death, I prefer my left hand to be on WASD at all times.

So your effective progression is still artificially limited, even more aggressively than before. A body piece literally costs a month without any possible way around it. SE literally dictates how much you can progress per monthly subscription. Man, and people complained about fatigue back at 1.0's launch... Talk about double standards...

The endgame gear grind and relic quests are bad yes and thats what i meant. The raids are absolutely amazing to say all the end game is bad would be misleading and the endgame grind is widely optional as you dont need it to do the raids. You can still grind when you as much as you want and enjoy the game. Getting BiS gear takes WAAYYYY to much time.

+Chris ShihadehBut the endgame gear grind ends up being what the game is all about after a couple of weeks of gameplay, maybe a month if you're going at a very slow pace. When you yourself recognize that this part, which ends up being the bulk of the game is not as great, you should see where the issue lies. There's no reason to hide that from new players, I mean, what are you, Square Enix PR?

You do have the right. Its just opinions based on personal dislike may sway people from the game despite it being one of the most thought out and designed mmos ever made. Everything they do is done to insure that even old content is being ran constantly so that new players can enjoy the game as well as veterens. In my eyes your opinion is valid however its misplaced. New players may not play the game based on your post which saddens me as the game is amazing till you hit the endgame gear grind.

Absolutely not.And I wasn't just saying how much I dislike this kind of measures, I was pointing out the hypocrisy of people who cried out against the fatigue system from 1.0, yet are perfectly happy with whatever bullshit is put into ARR or Heavensward, even if it is considerably worse from every point of view.It's like ever since the game was turned into a WoW-clone, SE can do no wrong.

A blatant gear treadmill with absolutely no horizontal progression whatsoever and gear that is as uninteresting as it can possibly get (basically higher iLvl = better; no exceptions) is just way too lame, not to mention the hook of lucky or rare drops is gone. The game literally tells you you have to play this much to get this item, period. How lame is that?Back then, when MMO content was varied, not limited to the latest patch only, and options were a thing a game could keep me hooked for almost 7 years. This game just took me a couple of months before I realized I was just going around in circles.

+Brian Swahn It was stated that Savage has a different loot system. Also worth mentioning that Savage gear has a higher item level, can be dyed and savage is the only place to get the weapons

+A.M Overby Sure that is no problem at allFaerie Server ; Goblet ;  Ward 1 ; Plot 13It took a few tries fiddling with angles of Arc and Stump. So I can see how someone doesnt have the right angle then yells "This exploit does not work with merchant wall!". If you do your best to emulate the angle you see on video you should be able to get it.

I have the i3 model and I dont see any problems playing games. Most games rely on the graphics. Though some games like GTA4 are highly CPU intensive.

I bought GW2 and I stated playing Tera last week but I think I'm gonna like FF14:ARR more than them. I regret buying GW2 as it seems to be fun but I don't like kb/m game play on any genre (yes even MMO &FPS), but GW2 looked so fun I thought I could fight through it, but so far having to play with kb/m is just dreadful. Now Tera is more fun as it supports the 360 controller, but it seems to have been added in later and not native. FF14 will have game pad support designed in so im amped for that.

Yeah, well it's absalutely absurd for people to think that P2p games are incapable of being competitive. Rift was P2p forever and managed a 1million sub number or close to it forever, despite being a WoW clone, which took a ton of elements from BC/Wrath. Look at WoW in it's prime IMO Classic/BC, it managed 5-10 mil subs from 05-08 and peaked at around 12-15 with Wrath despite starting the downward decline in Quality... ARR might be the next MMO... Don't fuck it up Square enix please.

There is a BIG difference on Yoshi-P, with the rest of the suckers of Square Enix (names: Toriyama, Kitase, Tanaka, Nomura, the other Yoshida). This man started every single answer with the words "The fans". This man is the future of the series, if he is going to direct some other games on the future, non MMO, I'm definitely buying them. Thanks Yoshida-san, you are making A Realm to Reborn, you're reviving Final Fantasy, and returning it home, with IV, V, VI and XII staff member.

F2P micro transactions drive me insane and to get the best end game gear you need to use them. B2P sales die quickly and then eventually turns into F2P just to turn in new players also the lack of income well lead to killing the servers and job cuts unless they add micro transactions to boost the life of it. I'd rather play P2P as they can constantly create more and more new larger content updates, keep the game up to date graphically and the community isn't filled with twelvies.

Yeah b2p totally pays off in the longrun pal, this game may have failed hard in the beginning and I am completely skeptical on it's return being a success but the fact is they at least are making an attempt to fix it which is a'lot more than most devs do in this day and age. If its b2p they will shut down the servers in a couple years even if it has alot of players or they wont turn out content. 10-15 bucks that hard to come up with after 1 month free?

Agreed, f2p has been nothing but annoyance to me to the point I refuse to play f2p games now, afterplaying gw2 and being able to purchase high level gear via real currency (they have to make money somehow its f2p!) it feels like all the hard work to appreciate the game, doesnt feel like that anymore. Also I have not felt like I am a true deticated healer since ff11 gw2 doesnt even have one! I have high hopes for this and I am glad to pay to play.

Of coarse it will be P2p! It frustrates me too. Those who ask for F2p are just greedy. Being part of the beta, I see everyday how hard the dev team work to make the game perfect. And the work doesn't end there, they release content year round for their fans and so they need some sort of payment for that. If people complain about F2p on MMO's, they should be complaining 20x more for Additional Content in offline games that they ALL go and pay for.

Dont bother with it getting on PS4 that is not a smart decision. There are lots of people with ps3... Ps4 is pointless cause it has no backwards compatibility and its only good if u never bought a system from sony. So releasing it only on PC and PS4 is not a good way to sell well. PC and PS3 is a better approach since techincally a lot of people have them. Not say millions have PS3 but saying its better off because lots of people wont buy it.

Hehe check some of the responses to my top comment, people seem to think P2p isn't competitive anymore since none meet WoW's passed success. "A'lot of people think, hey look lots of f2p! Neverwinter is F2p, I'll go play that instead!" Despite the fact that they have options to pay your way through the game and make it unfair to the f2p players lol. P2p is the best option for games that are worth it.. Unfortunately few are worth it anymore.

Once ffxiv was yoshi-p's project he and his team improved 1.0 to the point to where it was very playable when the original version went down in Nov last year. Those of us who played from beginning to end can vouch for the vast improvements they made to 1.0 for those who kept playing. They did an awesome job wrapping 1.0 up over the 2 year period and I look forward to continuing in ARR.

I'm new to MMOs period so the one that has game pad support built in natively is going to be the one that I go in hard for. As I said if GW2 had native game pad support i'd be all in as it seems super fun on its own but since its kb/m only I regret buying it. If they revamp the Tera control scheme to have controller game play feel more smooth i'd be all over that too.

If I can see a problem with the game action, it is this.. everything appears frantic and spastic. It has none of the evenly paced action of FFXI. There needs to be less on screen continual visual effect clutter. The special weapon skills need to be identifiable and clearly noticed. A normal, regular hit should not be a spastic whirl visual blur clutter spam fest.

I have been looking forward to this game for years. When FF14 came out I was hesitant to buy it and ended up not making the purchase. At the moment I play Everquest 2 (my current MMO addiction) and have many lvl 95 characters. But when this game comes out I am canceling my subscription and switching to this, I hope I am not dissapointed.

And it's only like 12-14.99 a month, I spend at least 10 times that on stuff when going on a night out. $14 a month is nothing when you're getting a high quality game that you can spend hours upon hours upon hours on. Popular yes, or rather over-rated, there are better MMO's like Tera or Guild Wars 2 that provide a better quality experience and those are f2p. With all these new MMO's coming out, most of them top notch f2p and this Final Fantasy, WoW is merely a shadow of the past.

People obviously want F2P because they either can't afford a sub or only play weekends and don't feel like paying for 6 days in a month. It hurts the game to go F2P as you said since it takes away money that could be going to development and maintenance.

Don't look at Alpha footage as what ffxiv is gonna be like at launch. They beta test added and changed alot and added more content to test Bp3 will have basic launch content. But as will mmo it can change constently even after release.

This game isn't free, it's paid, with money. so i do atleast expect the walking animation to be good. Even free to play games does it right. I can get annoyed by look at that it makes the game feel cheap and quality wise really less. You slide, you're not on wheels.. If i game is pay to play it should not look cheap. Which is my point, just this animation can ruin the immersion of a game. which did it of me..
