i agree, these are incredible ! Try a yamaha C40 as well. I can't count the number of yamaha guitars i've recommended to my students :) . I also love Ibanez and squier. And harley benton, and i'll never run out of good things to say about cort guitars. These guys make incredible guitars for their price range !

+David Faure Also, seagull guitars. My favorite ones, especially used, you can grab a very good instrument for 200 bucks and have a very professional sound and playability (and tuning stability). My personal guitar being a 1980s (tuning pegs were made in western germany, so you know that thing is old) seagull SM6 that i got for 200€ ... in mint condition ! Which is a pretty fair deal considering how rich and beautiful the guitar sounds, but the best thing is : it plays fantastic !

Dude you should be in a band that was awesome hey were those strings on the guitar when you got it or were those sold separately

+Ry LF I believe at the time I still had the stock strings on it.

My advice: Never waste money on fancy inlay, or rare woods. They do not sound better. Here is a secret the big music corporations hope you never find out: Asian knockoff guitars are better than the originals. Look, the Yamaha F-355 in this video is a laminated spruce top on a laminated merino body, and its a full body, no cutaway. The buzzing is probably light strings. Mediums have a tiny bit more tension, which pulls the neck up a bit and stops the buzzing. It also could be a high fret, but I have seen several Yamaha's and their frets are always perfectly installed. Yamaha researched with oscilloscopes and sound snobs in blind trials and found that pressure-treated quality wood for the tops and back and sides sound as good as solid wood, and they rarely split unless impacted solidly. Name brands with those solid tops split when the weather changes, you must maintain indoor temps and humidity or they split. If you want a guitar you can play outside at a beach or picnic, never bring your expensive solid top name brand guitar. Good, but quality acoustic guitars: Yamaha, Cort, Greg Bennett, Washburn, Oscar Schmidt. I see these on CL classifieds for 60-100 bucks every week. Oh, and please check out the Art & Lutherie (Canadian) acoustics made from cherry (top, sides and back) maple (neck) and walnut (fingerboard and bridge). They are outstanding for the money, but hard to find on CL or EB. That said, If you have about $350 go buy a new Fender Sonoran or the Newporter. Incredible sound for the money and they are the easiest guitar in the world to finger (the necks are just like a strat neck).

+Johnny Campbell you're super right about this. Especially, look into the guitars that people don't regard as high-value or collectible. Some are gems, and you can get them home without having to sleep on the couch :D

merino body? i thought merino is a type of sheep. i think you meant Meranti which is a hardwood sourced from Indonesia. I agree that despite the full laminate top and body, yamaha guitars actually sound very good. I dont find them sounding inferior to solid wood guitars. You should set them up nicely and change the saddle to a bone or similar instead of the plastic one. you will be amazed how well they sound without spending big bucks

+RokGaming   That is a fair price for a used Yamaha with a solid top.  The industry has been inflating prices for years, but every guitar is a unique individual.  Good manufacturers deliver a consistently good product, but cheaper suppliers can vary a lot even in the same model and the same year.Important:  Is the neck straight, are the frets good at the positions you play at?  Is the wood in good shape?  Are the strings high at the twelfth fret?  Is it easy to play?  Is there any buzzing?  Any of these can make a guitar a disappointment.Hint:  Do not buy a fixer-upper unless you have experience or a lot of time to learn the intricacies of guitar repair.Craigslist is my friend.  I go to CL and select musical instruments, then I set price range to $5 to $99 and use Guitar as the search string.  If you can afford more, extend the range.  Many foreign guitars are just fine.  The Samick (Greg Bennett Design series) and Cort (Washburn and O. Schmidt) can provide an inexpensive guitar that plays like a dream.  Just remember, play it, listen to it and be critical before you spend any money.

+RokGaming It plays like it could be sold for $400. It's worth it.

+Johnny Campbell So if I were to buy a Yamaha F335 for $160, in your opinion, is it worth?
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-nMJ40R2UxrY/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAFM/YDmlHgsYoS8/photo.jpg?sz=64
I have the same guitar but it sounds not that good, did you get new strings?
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Ol5q9SKKV2w/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABg/nh8_Fn-FTbI/photo.jpg?sz=64
+battlewarrior101 I believe these were just the stock strings, which aren't the greatest but are fine. It might be worth trying out a few option!

+Jesse Gimbel Thanks man i will definitly check it out! i ended up getting a acoustic fender it sounds good it was on sale too and yes man i love your style love foward to your other works keep doing your thing. Ibanez sounded ok to me but granted i didnt spend enough time with it to TRUELY see what it really had to offer it sounded ok from what i played with it. I got my guitar from Guitar Center too Guitar Center has a really good selection. I love your album man great work i like your music. Keep up th great work
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Ol5q9SKKV2w/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABg/nh8_Fn-FTbI/photo.jpg?sz=64
+God hand MishimaThanks for the kind words! Yeah I found the Yamaha when going to try to check out some cheap acoustic options at Guitar Center and ended up really liking it. Personally I've never been a fan of Ibanez acoustic guitars, and I think the F335 is one of the better cheaper options for acoustics. Though a Martin of any price is well-built and gives an amazing sound compared to others at their price points. If you're digging the music please check out my new album free at jessegimbel.bandcamp.com, though Illinois is from my last album, which is available free here: https://jessegimbel.bandcamp.com/album/city-shade-country-sun

+Audel Albarrab Hey thanks man! yes i live in the US and i try to save money but its so hard man like with bills and living expenses and things something always takes ur money. I go to guitar centet that seems like the closest thing that has the most variety. I love Gibson they sound good, Taylor, Martin, Ibanez, Takamine, Epiphone are all good brands. Sometimes wih guitars you do get what you pay for. But sometimes you can find a good budget guitar or something on sale.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-DVXuxmmwlyc/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAACJY/rQbLpGeA6lI/photo.jpg?sz=64
Yes, I'll sell my F335 stills is very new and i think I'll buy a Ibanez one maybe the PF15C. I haven't played a Gibson yet, but I think they're awesome, we... In fact you can save some money and get it one gibson, i'd do that, I don't know where you live, but, if you life in the US there a lot of shop have good prices and offers, good luck man!
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-VLigU-XPPiQ/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADQ/PY2d60RGMnY/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Audel Albarrab Hey thanks man! damn its so hard shopping on a budget man makes your choices limited and each guitar can sound different so you have to see what sounds best to you. I played some Ibanez's they are really good. I ended up getting a fender acoustic it sounds real good it was on sale i liked the sound of it. I really want a Taylor or Martin but just cant afford it or a good Gibson. I played the Gibson hummingbird im in love with that guitar man lol sucks its out of my price range. When i get some extra money surely am going to get a more expensive one i want but there are some good cheaper budget guitars out there. I was trying to find something with no buzz and a good sound quality.
