The way they calculate octane ratings in the US and elsewhere different substantially. When using the same measurement standards, it comes out to being the same. In the US we Use (RON+MON)/2 while in europe they use RON only. (RON=Research Octane, MON=Motor Octane), RON is always higher than MON for the same fuel.

What is missing from this video is a shot of the Cobb AccessPORT and any comparison of before/after the 100 octane fuel. Please give the viewer an idea of the performance increase instead of some adrenaline pumping sounds of revving the engine. It could 91 octane for all we know!

why do you have to optimize it for 100 octane? is the race fuel different from standard gas appart from octane? I wonder because shell is selling 102 octane fuel at normal gas stations here in germany...

To everyone who is saying "you can get 100 octane in Germany/Aus, etc". It's a different octane scale. 100 in Germany is like 94 in the US. 100 un the US is like 105 in Germany...

Damn, that stock GT-R ran very good on that fuel! My friend ran his on Shell 98 octane and it ran nowhere close to this beast! Great video Robert keep it up!

Octane rating in the UK and North America is based on a different unit of measure, 99 octane in Europe would be about 93 in the States for example.....

I love the USA, just find an E85 gas station and you have all the racing fuel you want! (Ethanol has a higher octane equivalency than gasoline).

Anything from the pump is not race fuel. Also different countries use scales so 100 MON (I think is the scale) in US is 110+ RON in europe.

No its not you fuckwit. 100 octane in Germany is 100 octane anywhere. It's just the Europeans fuel standards are higher than the US.

Damnn that's bad, I can only get 95 and 98 Octane in my country (Belgium). In Germany you can get a 100 octane at the pump.

Germany's 102 octane is only 96 in the US. Shell URT 100 is like 105+ in Germany. Different scale.
