may i suggest Linux Mint DEBIAN Edition? That is great for media-related tasks. It is different than normal Linux Mint, which is based on Ubuntu. Try the Debian based one. When I grew up learning Linux, Google and YouTube didn't exist yet, so I just wished someone would have been there to help me like this, so that's why I try to help out where I can. the fbi, and a few other organisations were there when i gave this talk at B-Sides, and also at ISSA. other than them watching my presentations, no i dont work with law enforcement. i dont support their objectives at the present time.

i covered all of those in the actual talk. this is just me going over the content of my talk briefly since there was a wifi 'signal interruption' while Jack Daniel from BSides was trying to live stream the talk on their channel.

I did demos for the talk at bsides, but i think it would be even better if i chopped up every demo and then went more in depth and did a video on each one, like a series on wifi. good idea or no?

you got me on that. you'll just have to research it; every hard drive scheme is different. my main OS hard drive is /dev/sda and i install the bootloader to the master boot record on /dev/sda.

if you are dual booting i dont see the problem. my suggestions is to just pave over the whole thing. it is so similar to ubuntu, whats the point in the dual boot?

did it pull in fashplugin-installer automatically? i normally only do flashplugin-nonfree. then again, i dont use ubuntu.

if it says you cant find flashplugin-nonfree, you need to enable some extra repos, like universe, multiverse and nonfree

you should be using "flashplugin-nonfree" instead of gnash or any other flash player. did you try the pulseaudio thing?

right click the youtube video and disable hardware acceleration, also, open a terminal and do "killall pulseaudio"

You have to do that in your wireless router configuration. usually by going to the web browser and typing 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 depending on the brand of your router. also, those are factory default addresses, asuming you have not changed it. username and password should be: admin admin or admin password. hope that helps.

This is the first WM6 ROM for Apache's, it's not official. Nothing will go wrong. It is really hard to brick these phones. Yes you can use the Black HTC Theme. They have a newer WWM6 where you make your own, also doesn't have these WiFi issues. They have WM6.1 which ROCKS!

Hey great solution. I've been using it for awhile now since I've been using WM6. I don't want to cook up a ROM in the ROM Kitchen. A user at XDA found an old .dll file that fixed this issue. I cant post a link here but if you want the .cab I'll e-mail it out to you.

I must say...i have not the slightest clue. Wi-fi has nothing to do with the phone service. if the wi-fi is turned on, then you should be able to connect to your wireless router and surf the web/email, etc without a problem....btw, sorry for the delayed reply

I use it very often, and my battery life is real good (i usually get up to 2 days). Plus, my phone is charging more than is not most of the time. But thanx for the advice, I DID NOT KNOW THAT WOULD HELP BATTERY LIFE. THANX

Unfortunately this doens't work for me. I have a HTC Touch and I just have to keep trying to get a fix. Very annoying! I'm happy though that it isn't a problem with my wifi router.

also was für ein anbieter hast du? telekom oder vodavone...usw? du musst in der verpackung nachschauen da ist so ein buch drin (bedinungseinleitung) da musst du hinten schauen dies müsste pre-shared key (PSK) heißen da hinten dran ist der code den musst du dann eingeben

Bei mir steht immer: "Ein Verbindungsfehler ist aufgetreten. Beim versuch, die IP-Adresse abzufragen, ist die zeit abgelaufen." Und dass obwohl ich 100% empfang habe! HELP!!!!
