Like anything, I am trying find faith to learn it and believe I can do it. But fame comes before the fact I am learning. When I see someone playing dhol, I try to find the passion in the person's eye because without that it will sound like a big drum. But to make it should like dhol, you need to feel your feet on the floor, your heart beat and the happiness a farmer feels when he sees his crop full grown ready to be cut.

Hi there - Music of dhol brings so much smile and happiness in my life. When I hear it, it feels like to dived into pool of happiness. My husband's nephew is a dhol player and he is really god considering he is guju; but he has his heart in the dhol. He was nice enough to lend me his dhol and I am trying to learn to play.

I'm interested in buying a dhol. What size is your dhol in the video? The one's I've seen on sale are of the following sizes: 12.2", 12.6", and 13.2". Does size have any effect on the sound of the dhol?

question.i want to confirm the difference between DHA and GE. DHA is when we hit dugga and tilli together and the same time. GE is when we hit dugga only.m i right!!!

Firstly its called a tit-kit not a tirkit. A tirkit sounds like a sound effect from street fighter. Don't do the dhol's besthi. Secondly you are not actually playing a tit-kit. To play tit-a-kit-a is different to playing na-na-ge-na. How? The placing of the teel/dagga on the skin. You are playing na na ge na. A tit kit is a tabla break transferred to the dhol. On the table it is played on the different parts of the skin to get the sound. We do the same on the dhol. You just royally cocked this

you play it after the last na. so..Dha na na na na ***here*** but it must have its add on ie TAK tit kit, or Dha dha tit kit, or gina nage tit kit etc etc. The idea is that if two of you were playing chaal together, and one played a tit kit, once finished you should end up in the same place as your partner

10sihraa, no its not even though it does sound relatively similiar the bhols and speed at which its played is much different to that of the laggi.. the video for the laggi is on its way and will be up within the week

Hmmm, the last tirkit is quite easy to pick up actually once you know the laggi because it's almost a variaton of it.
