But since Call of Duty: Black Ops first introduced gold camo weapons in November 9th 2010, and TF2 first brought out Australiums in November 21, 2013 (and this was when people were going crazy over gold and diamond camos back in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2), it is most likely that the guys at Valve took this idea from Treyarch in the hope of replicating the same obsession over pixelated items (which is obviously what they want, because hats).
