You could also set push to off and it'll still sync. But you'll have to open up calendar/contacts and wait about 6 seconds for it to sync,push just syncs it instantly without opening the app.

Theres a much quicker and easier way to do this 1. settings 2. mail, contact, calendars. 3. add account. 4. gmail. 5. enter required fields. 6. click calender DONE!! no.. (m.google.) stuff

do you have to have internet connection or a sim card in order to view your calendar? I know it is online, but once you sync it, it should be in the memory of your phone, right?

what if my exchange is already used for my work?? what other options do i have to sync my google calender to my iphone. i never use my exchange calender.

This seems to complicated. What if you have most of your Calendar inputs on your iphone and want to sync other way round?

Is there a way to on a laptop to label my colors? I used to do it in Outlook. For example, yellow meant travel....green meant sold. Now I have to keep a cheat sheet stuck to my computer. It is very imp for me to color code task for myself, admin and other tasks.

+dottotech I meant like the little clip art for the events like there was a birthday cake and a piano and all kinds of little pictures you can put next to your events. They seem to not be there in the new os lollipop

In my case, I integrate my Google calendar events with my iOS Calendar app. The only thing i don't like about iOS Calendar is it would be annoying for me when i switch to android device. However, the google Calendar app for iOS is still not good enough. It misses some useful functions. For instance, I can't move schedule/event like i could do on iOS Calendar app or on Google Calendar web version. Also, i can't switch the calendar type on Google Calendar app. These are annoying for me. I hope Google would include those functions in iOS version of Google Calendar app. I do not know about Android version though. However, i like some features in Google Calendar app like showing location images and the map integration.

Hi Steve. Is there any way of syncing my Google calendar with my Outlook and vice versa? I need to use Outlook for work but I would also like to use Google. However, I do not want to have to enter the same event twice. Any ideas? Thanks.
