@jubilee203 ...i was at a pizza parlor a few days ago.in the U.S.A.I saw a bunch of little black girls with there hair done up so pretty with beads and braids...i looked around i bet there were 25 of them and i also noticed about the same number of little white girls none of whom had so much time and care and LOVE put into their hair... these white mothers need to take a lesson from their black sisters on the love of their children...btw I am a great big white guy who likes to shave his head.

@surambaya What i have a problem with is the contents of those tests and how they are solely used in Kenya to determine a students admissibility to the next level. For one these kids are at the age where they really need to develop critical thinking skills to compete in a globalized economy; this test lacks that edge. Another thing here in the U.S, schools look at the overall merits of the student i.e GPA, leadership, sports, volunteer, background plus stand. tests to get a place in a univ.

@lubangad thats completely untrue, if you pass with an A and gain entrance at the school of Nairobi University school of medicine and become a Doctor u certainly do well in life, or if you go to the school of engineering you certainly have expanded chances, you can not say those people performing at that level dont know their material, just because you could not make it does not translate into"the system is flawed!"

KCSE is a very outdated and seriously flawed exam that doesn't determine one's success in life. The only thing this result shows is years of memorization and restating answers. What determines the students' level of success later on in life is the ability to demonstrate a superior level of critical-thinking. On the contrary, this exam is very superficial and doesn't provide an objective measure of achievement.

@Truthseeker610 - Interesting comment. KCPE, SATs, LSATs, GREs, GMAT etc are all standardized tests in the same way KCSE is a standardized test. These are not meant to be indicators of success in life (BTW - how do you define success?) but rather benchmarks aimed at gauging one's ability to perform well in a structured academic environment.

Way to go Kenya. I wish the Black American in the US would take their education as seriously. With no outside help, unlike Asia, with not much natural resources you still maintain a decent livable country with pride. If black americans would take pride in academic as much as athletic we would be a much respected race.

@Truthseeker610 couldn't agree more with you! KCSE is a rubbish exam and these people celebrating a lot of them will be miserable in life. It won't guarantee success with all that drilling and memorization. These thing about school ranking must stop
