How to Record and Save Webcam (Cam) Shows
Cam shows aren't like a normal tube video. Some content on a cam site is a static, publicly viewable clip a performer chose to post on their profile — that saves the same way any other video does. The rest is a live broadcast happening in real time, which is a different technical problem and a different consent question. This guide walks through both, honestly, so you know exactly what FSAVED can and can't do before you start.
The short version: public profile clips on sites like Chaturbate, Stripchat and BongaCams download in your browser with no app. Capturing an ongoing free public broadcast is best-effort and needs the FSAVED browser extension, because there's no finished file to grab — the stream is being produced as you watch. And private, token-goal, group or spy shows are paid, members-only content: FSAVED does not support them and never tries to bypass them.
Throughout, two rules stay fixed. The people on cam are real performers whose work and consent matter — only save publicly viewable content, keep it for personal offline viewing, and never redistribute it. And your privacy is protected by design: the fetch runs on our servers so the cam site never sees your IP, no logs tie a download to you, and your saved library lives only in your browser.
Two kinds of cam content (and why it matters)
Before you try to save anything, figure out which kind of content you're looking at, because the method is completely different.
A recorded profile clip is a finished video file the performer uploaded to their public profile or 'videos' tab — it has a fixed length, a play/scrub bar, and a URL you can paste. A live broadcast is happening now: it has no end, no scrub bar to the future, and no single file behind it. That distinction decides everything below.
- Recorded public clip → has a normal video player and timeline → saves like any tube video (paste the link).
- Live public broadcast → 'LIVE' badge, viewer count, real-time chat → best-effort capture, needs the FSAVED extension.
- Private / token-goal / group / spy show → locked behind tokens or membership → not supported, never bypassed.
Saving a recorded public profile clip
This is the easy, fully supported path. If a performer has posted a clip to their public profile, it behaves like any other on-demand video. You copy the link to that specific clip's page and let FSAVED resolve it.
Because the download runs server-side, the cam site sees our request, not your device — your IP stays private and nothing about the save is tied to your identity.
- Open the performer's public profile and play the recorded clip you want.
- Copy the URL of that clip's page (not the homepage or the live room).
- Paste it into the FSAVED box and let it resolve.
- Pick a quality and save the MP4 — it downloads in your browser, no app needed.
- The clip appears in your device-only library for one-tap re-access later.
Capturing a live public broadcast (best-effort)
A free, public live stream is fundamentally a recording job, not a download job — there's no completed file sitting on a server for us to fetch. That's why this path needs the FSAVED browser extension: it captures the public stream as it plays in your tab, in real time, and saves what it captured.
Set your expectations honestly. This is best-effort: it depends on your connection, the site's player, and whether the broadcast stays up. If the performer ends the show, the capture ends too — you keep only what was recorded up to that point. It only ever works on a stream that is already public and visible to you without paying.
What FSAVED will not do: private, token-goal, group and spy shows
Private one-on-one sessions, token-goal unlocks, ticketed group shows and spy mode are all paid, members-only content. FSAVED does not capture them and does not try to defeat the token wall, the paywall or any access control — not on Chaturbate, Stripchat, BongaCams or anywhere else.
This isn't only a policy line, it's how the tool is built: it works on what's publicly viewable and stops there. Performers price private content deliberately. Trying to lift it without paying takes money out of their pocket and breaks their trust — which is exactly the line FSAVED won't cross.
Consent and personal-use rules for cam content
Cam performers are working people, and a live show is even more personal than a posted clip. Treat anything you save as private and for your eyes only.
The rules are simple: only save content that's already public and free to view; keep saves for personal, offline viewing; never re-upload, share, or post a performer's clip or your capture anywhere. Reposting someone's cam content without consent can cause real harm and is exactly what this tool is not for.
How your privacy is handled during cam saves
Saving cam content shouldn't expose you, and with FSAVED it doesn't. For recorded clips, the fetch happens on our servers — the cam site sees our infrastructure, never your IP or device. No log ties a particular download back to you.
Your saved-cam library is stored only in your browser on this device. It's not on our servers and not linked to an account, and a single tap clears it. The live-capture extension records locally in your tab; what it captures stays with you.
