Well thats up to them isn't it, everyone has a choice but they learn that from an early age from their anti catholic unionist parents before they have a chance to decide for themselves what team they want to support. Technically yes i agree as before but if Britain ever becomes part of the Euro and they make a Euro national anthem, you aren't going to learn that are you....NO, your national anthem to you is God save the queen, no matter what, Same as Scotland's is Flower of Scotland.

I think it is from what generation you come from. I am post WW2 and therefore passionately British. Modern generations may have some ignorant bias. I do not. I am British first, Welsh second. I am not English. I wish England did not have God Save the Queen as its anthem. It is the British anthem which includes many commonwealth countries. It was a pleasure to sing rapturously my anthem for my country Great Britain in my favourite sport. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN. CYMRU AM BYTH.

if you haven't got a clue what you're talking about, then stop. God Save the Queen is the Anthem of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Yes? It is also the royal anthem of many nations around the world. England does not have a national anthem. Because England lacks a national anthem, they use the British national anthem. If wales didn't have hen wlad fy nhadau, we would too use God Save the Queen.

The UK is a country, we all share the same paliament. Scotland does not have it's own proper government, nor does Wales. England's government is the government of the UK. Scotland can vote on what happens in England and vice versa. No proper country allows this. England and Scotland are not seperate memebers of the EU.

That is true i agree but it doesn't change the fact that Flower of Scotland is still the Scottish national anthem, God save the queen is the chosen National anthem by England for the whole country so why should the Scots and Welsh learn it, its not really theirs is it.

Britain is a country. Scotland and Wales are part of Britain. God Save the Queen is also their official national anthem, that's a fact. Scotland and Wales are not official countries outside of sport and so have no official national anthem outside of sporting events.
