Basketball scoreboard / multi-sport scoreboard / exam timer perfect for schools and universities that use their basketball court or auditorium for student exams.
+Andy Harvey Can you please tell me what the bulb # is that is for the 4 quarters mine are missing. I have the same scoreboard as you. My email is [email protected]
I have the control box for this sign. I wanted to buy the board at the
auction, but was out bid, but did get the control board. I live in Muncie,
In. and graduated from Royerton 1964..contact me if you want to discuss. Ed

Hello. When and where was the auction for the scoreboard? At the school? I purchased the scoreboard off of eBay from a guy in Ohio. Would you be interested in selling your box? The scoreboard has a interesting history. Did you know any of the Kimm family? My dad and I got it working. Took some doing. Andy

Electronics Applications #2: Electromechanical Fair-Play BB-200 Basketball Scoreboard In Use
Here is a Fair-Play BB-200 basketball scoreboard that I am testing after making some adjustments and cleaning. This is entirely electromechanically-controlled; ...
How difficult is it to add other clocks (maybe even from other
manufacturers) to an existing scoreboard clock? This was done many years
ago to a center-hung 4-sided basketball/hockey scoreboard here in Philly
where additional clocks were hung in the stadium concourse and synced to
the main scoreboard. I highly doubt it was wireless then (1970s)
+Tee Wilkins That's a good question. I would think it would be rather difficult, especially if the new boards were from other manufacturers. I believe this controller has two outputs so it can control two boards. It is common to install one board on each end of the gym. However, unless a manufacturer specifically make an interconnect kit, it would be difficult. I would guess that by the 1970s more modern communication protocols would have been available that would make multiple boards easier to connect.
Where are the actual numeric fonts stored, and can they be altered? Saw
another video where the original fonts were changed after a similar board
was rehabbed and painted.
+Tee Wilkins They are formed by the location of contacts on the rotary selectors. To change them on this board, you'd have to make serious modifications to the rotary selector switches or replace them altogether. If someone changed the fonts, most likely they built a microcontroller-based solid-state replacement clock unit that allowed them to use the individual segments much more flexibly.
